This is crazy because we have never had a Halo v. COD argument before...

This is clearly not that argument.

COD may communicate specific details to the player better than Reach for all I care, I'm just questioning the claim of specific inconsistencies in Reach in areas where I do don't seem to see them or be affected by them.

If he simply prefers playing COD over Halo, that's his business and I'm not questioning that at all. I also have issues with some of the feedback system present in Reach but I'm currently seeing things from his angle and asking for more specific information and clarification so that I can understand better.

Let me generalize this argument for you, Dani: Reach's feedback system is not as obvious as it needs to be. Drew exaggerates sometimes, so ignore the medals/cR/challenges feedback argument because it's not important compared to the hit detection feedback, which Call of Duty does way better than Halo. Hit detection can never be perfect in online games because that's how the internet/speed of light works, and that's why these online games feel inconsistent. Call of Duty's solution doesn't actually fix the latency (because it can't be fixed), but it does a fantastic job covering up the problem. If there's ever a question of whether you hit the enemy, the answer is immediate and obvious, and I think you're underestimating the importance of that visual and audible cue.

Attention-whore.

I resolve conflicts, sir! I make both sides hate me so much they make peace with each other. Keep an eye out for me in a Middle East near you.

How is that?

You get an X type thing around your crosshair and an obvious noise.
I rate this post/Drew.

Time Machine Time!

I can't remember or visualize this. I'm not doubting it at all. Can someone link me to a video with a good example.

It was pretty difficult to find a good example, but I finally found a video of a guy shooting a guy:

Lol, Sandy Ravage :P Anything you do to a player in CoD gives you that same marker and audio cue, even as simple as hitting someone with a stun grenade flash. BC2 uses the markers but leaves out the audio cue when you deal damage.

Invasion Slayer on Hemorrhage. Why is this still available? Spartans get rockets and sniper rifles. Elites get toys.

Invasion
Why is this still available?

Fixed.

Invasion Slayer is just dumb, the Spartan/Elite only Skirmish gametype is the same idea but executed slightly better, but not much better.

I'm starting to think we're gonna have a sidekick in Halo 4, something that the kids will love so they can sell more toys, a bit like Jar Jar Binks, he was a big hit right?
