So, who else might be in for this? It would be fantastic to play some Modern Warfare again in an arena that isn't ruled by modders.
I guess that other game looks alright too.

Yeah, if I have to buy the mega ultra edition to get cod4, no dice.

Shot themselves square in the foot making that remaster as part of a bundle.
On the topic of the actual new CoD, what the hell is happening on Saturn's moons? Is the OpFor in this one a bunch of Guardians?

Well, fuck me right? I guess I'm out then.

I suppose the idea is that the outer colonies rebelled. Which is basically the idea behind Killzone/Titanfall/every other piece of space fiction with colonization.

I'd be all over it if it also included a MW2 remaster.

Wait, are you saying you prefer MW2 to Modern Warfare?

I actually saw a news blurb about MWR. I got legit excited. Then I read the whole "must spend $80 part.
Fuck you, Activision.
Seriously, fuck them.

Now that I've had a day to think about it.
If we had 4-6 people actually willing to get the game, I would spend $80 to play a "remastered" CoD4.
Here's my reasoning:
If this was a separate thing, even full priced, I'd get it. I'd pay $60 for it.
So, would I pay another $20 for Infinite? That's the rub. I'm just "eh," about that.
Frankly, I would be more excited if that's how it was marketed. If they did "Buy MW Remastered for $60, or pay $80 and get this new game that really looks like the same CoD that you've been playing since Blops 2" I'd be like "rofl just give me Bog and Crash and fuck off."

This crap looks incredible. I figure at some point they have to sell it stand-alone right?

Activision actually catering to customers? That would be the day.

Overgrown
Bog
Crash
Backlot
Crossfire
Hell, you don't even need pics to remember these maps a decade later.
If they announce Vacant, Ambush, and Strike, I'm done... Pipeline becomes gravy on the biscuits... Leaving the last map to be among Wet Work, Bloc, Countdown... Hopefully no DLC maps are in consideration here. Chinatown was decent

I would actually play this with you guys. Was this game buggy towards the end or was it pretty stable.
I'm certain at some point they'll sell this crap individually.

It was rock fucking solid.
I would buy a standalone version in a heartbeat.

Hard to tell from videos, but it looks more like they took the modern CoD engine and modified it to play like Modern Warfare rather than taking the original Modern Warfare guts and adding a new graphics layer on top. Not sure if that matters to anyone or not. Will consider buying this when it's sold separately for <$20 on Steam.

I'm still waiting for them to announce or prove they are fixing their netcode, higher tickrate, and 100% dedicated servers for this series. Otherwise, no buy.

Well, Infinity Warfare is garbage. I'm definitely not shelling out 80 bucks for the Modern Warfare remake, so here's hoping they release a stand alone version.
