Yeah, the servers were hammered there for a little bit, but it looks like they got everything sorted out.

Packs that I can personally recommend, based off of games in them:

2D Pack
- VVVVVV is easily one of the best 2D platformers ever made, it also has one of the best 8-bit soundtracks OF ALL TIME, which only helps it.
- Geometry Wars is obvious.

Heavy Hitters
- Audiosurf is probably the definitive music game for the PC. Lets you play any song that own. It's awesome, and horribly addicting.
- Shattered Horizon is great fun, and very pretty... if you've got the computer for it. REQUIRES DX10-capable videocard and a beastly processor.
- World of Goo is just good old wacky indie fun.

Flight Pack
- Depending on the price, worth it for Everyday Shooter alone. Anyone with a PS3 knows why.

Adventure Pack
- Gish is a classic, and chances are if you've ever bought any indie bundles in the past you already own it. Physics-based, control a ball of tar. It's getting a little dated, but still fun.
- And Yet It Moves is very different, and very interesting. Control gravity to control your character. Apparently it's pretty short, I have yet to beat it.

Beat Pack
- Beat Hazard is like if Audiosurf and Polynomial and Geometry Wars had some kind of sick bastard child. Play your music as a dual-stick shooter. Fun as shit.
- Chime is basically what Tetris would be were it made by the devil. Some great music and interesting gameplay, but I swear you can NEVER get the right fucking piece. God damnit.
- Bit Trip Beat is yet another punishingly difficult indie game. Zero room for error, but some amazing music and visuals. Basically Pong on LSD.

Mixed Pack
- Just buy it. I've played the first four games and they're all awesome. The pack would be worth it if only one of those four was included, especially Eufloria.

Potato Pack
- You'd have to be stupid not to buy this. I'm willing to bet this one goes up on the last day of the sale.

Edit: Looks like half of them are up now. Heavy Hitters pack actually has EIGHT games, and the three that I've played are great (Osmos, Trine, and Braid).

Not exactly on steam, but it's something I thought you guys might be interested in.

http://www.humblebundle.com/

5 popular indie games, name your price. Now with that said, if you pay more than the average, you'll be given the option to download the previous 5 game bundle FOR FREE. And on top of it all, they will give you keys that go straight into Steam.

Oh man... Eufloria. I'm going to be sinking some time into this game for a while. I love the minimalist music.

The sale has been awesome so far. So happy to pick up the final Borderlands DLC on the cheap and so many games to play. Only halfway through the sale.

This is the official Steam thread going forward, keep all discussions regarding the platform itself and sales in this thread. Feel free to make individual threads for games which warrant them, or if you don't think they'll have much discussion just post in this thread. I really need to get back on board and checking steam more often. The last time I did a clean install on my PC I didn't reinstall steam.

Steam summer sale is near again! Expected any day now too. Also, Team Fortress 2 has gone free to play. Everyone should play TF2 at some point.

Anyone interested in getting an Age of Empires II 4-pack on Steam? It just got announced today. I played the crap out of this game back in the day and will be buying it regardless, but if you want to cooperatively save money with me, let me know.
