But Check out the film clip. It looks like the guy on my team dies as he walks through my contrail (there's even blood-spray as he walks through it). I can't figure out any other explanation. If you guys see something I'm missing, lemme know, I'd love to know the secret here...

Gamble did not make his saving throw...

And seriously, someone figure out what's up with my contrail of DOOM (in the fileshare).

Here's an image where blue was actually hit by the bullet which has now gone into the water and he is already following. The red guy is my retarded teammate who ran through the contrail. If you look closely, especially on the high-res version or the clip, you can see the bloodspray emanating from the "exit wound" of the contrail:

EDIT: you can barely see me on a ridge in the background...working on my Killing Frenzy...

I wonder what this cave is for - it's in the bottom right-hand corner of this screen. The structure in the top left is the dam where the "bronco buster!" encounter occurs. I used a Phantom to bump my camera out of the level.
Anyone that hasn't done this trick should do it. You position your camera at the edge of the invisible wall, in the path of an escaping Phantom or Pelican. The way I did it was by inching the game forward, frame by frame, until it finally bumped me through the barrier. It took me a few tries, and I think it was actually at the second Phantom encounter that I was able to pull it off (most of the time, the Phantom loses its collision model as it passes through you).
Anyway, positioning the camera in the sky and watching the level load, bit by bit as your avatar passes through it, is really interesting. The cave I took note of is actually in two different loading zones, in the same position. It's hard to explain in text, but basically... one zone loads, with the cave being at its right-hand edge. When the next zone loads, the cave remains, being at the left-hand side of this zone, while the rest of the previous zone is removed. It's a lot simpler when you see it happen.
