The Covenant war machine continues its march to conquest; even with its head severed it is still dangerous. 2-8 players
I was wondering what this means by, it's head severed. Anyone have any ideas?

Try watching the cutscenes as you play through Halo 3...it might explain a few things.

Sorry....I was confused because Assembly is on High Charity during the time before the Flood got to it.

Is it ever made clear that it is indeed on High Charity? For all we know Assembly could be on one of the Covenants' many homeworlds, perhaps a moon near the Hunters' home planet, for instance, which makes perfect sense.

I remember reading in Contact Harvest that the reason Grunt overpopulation was such a problem was because the Covenant only lived on their ships and High Charity, so they had limited space. Since I doubt Assembly is on a ship, My best guess is that it's on High Charity.

And the Hunters did'nt have a home planet. They were found on a forerunner installation that they had been digesting for millions of years.

I thought the hunters did? And that they wouldn't submit to the Covenant at first because they were winning most of the ground wars, and then since they had no space flight technology the Covenant just bombed the shit out of them until they agreed?
