I'm having a hard time getting the gold medal for "Heroic" on the 2nd mission. I completed it, though I didn't get a time multiplyer so I only received a silver. I'm still trying to figure out what exactly would be a good type of unit to attack the Covenant base without getting worked over. I always lose my 1st unit.. even if I'm fairly balanced out with alot of weaponry and shielding. My 1st unit does enough damage so after I create my 2nd unit, they just go in and mop everything up and I can move on from there. I just want to get past the Covenant base without losing my 1st unit. It's a fun and challenging game when played on "heroic." Those damn mini-scarab's are hell when they have over-shielding... lol. They can take a extra shielded Scorpion down quickly. I wonder if there is going to be a "Legendary" difficulty.

I downloaded the demo this morning and so far I'm finding it fun. I'm not familiar with RTS games so it has a steeper learning curve for me. There is a basic and advanced tutorial that really helps. I needed to go through it a couple times to keep the buttons functions in memory. The cutscenes are amazing and the gameplay is fast causing one to make multiple decisions quickly to accomplish objectives. If you play the "Heroic" setting it is really challenging.. especially for someone like myself with no RTS experience at all. So far so good. I will buy it when it comes out.

I thought your first sentence almost made a better caption.

Good catch buddy, it does fit well. If viewed or read out of context it can really go south.. lol

In Topic: Master Chief?

Master Chief is a Navy rank, but the Marines is the footsoldier branch of the navy, and as a result it uses the same ranks as the Navy. United Nations Space Command (I believe I may have botched that acronym, so correct me if I'm wrong) is just what it sounds, the controlling/commanding power for the entire military. Marines are usually inserted aquatically or by Navy helicopters, so space is being considered a body of water, as the UNSC has a navy with a fleet of ships, and Marines, footsoldiers for battles that take place on terra firma, inserted by this fleet. Why the UNSC fleet isn't referred to as an Air Force is beyond me, but it seems as though even pilots like Foe Hammer are Navy pilots (makes sense since she is based off of a Navy ship, an aircraft carrier, if you will). In the future, the need for an Army is almost nothing, as interplanetary conflicts are much more likely and dangerous than international ones. Also, the Covenant sort of fixed the whole "Let's fight eachother because we're morons" thing. Invading races of aliens do that sometimes.

That's the way I always viewed it. It just appears as a natural progression of military power.
