So anyone else use Steam? It's increasingly hard to find folks that game on the PC that don't use it at least every now and then. They also have the best sales ever. I haven't much games and I spend most of time on my 360, but I can occasionally be found on my PC playing Borderlands or Team Fortress 2. Steam email : iamdani@gmail.com

In your settings you can change your display name to whatever you want. No one will even see your actual account name I believe.

My account name is uhyve. I've actually not even bothered getting a DVD drive for my current computer, I've no use for one anymore. The only time I don't like Steam is when they do a bunch of sales and clear my wallet out, I've got a ton of games that I've not even played yet.

Watch out for phishing scams on your friend's list. They've been running rampant lately. I had one hit me about a month ago that came from a good friend of mine, turned out his account was hacked because he fell for the scam.

Just picked up a copy of Red Orchestra yesterday for free on Steam thanks to a Logitech Facebook promotion. Sweet. Pity the promo ended so soon though.

Amnesia: Dark Descent is only 10 bucks on Steam. If you're not familiar with it, it's basically does what horror games are supposed to do, be scary. Deal ends Monday, and Amnesia has a demo if you want to try it out first. My first Steam purchase. *Sniff*

Honestly, I'd recommend everyone to hold off on any purchase (that is unless there just happens to be a game up that you have to play this very second) until about the Christmas/New Years time frame because if they plan on doing the same thing like last year, then expect to see some really ridiculous deals (bought several games for only $2.50). Hell, you may not even have to wait that long, we might even start seeing it come next week? And speaking of all of these games that we are potentially getting, perhaps we could make a topic that will allow us to post our multiplayer steam games, or something similar so incase someone else has them for PC that we may join up? Because I have a few games that I have that I haven't completely beaten that are definitely more fun to play with others including Borderlands.

I have Borderlands with all DLC, but not the Steam version. However I'm sure it would still work.

Valve, why did you have to run a 75% off sales on Metro 2033 again? Now I have to buy it... Left 4 Dead 2 is only 5 bucks for anyone interested.

Too late on L4D2, that deal has ended. But Killing Floor is 66% with free stuff for TF2 owners and extra Xmas treats.

There are two 48 hour deals left to go before the 20th and a few days left to enter the Prize Draw.

Steam Xmas Sale starts in the 20th too. =)

Just a warning, Bad Company 2 can be pretty tough on your computer.

Yeah, my 9800 GT had to run BC2 with everything on low. ATM, the demanding PC games are Bad Company 2, Crysis, and Metro2033, so look before you leap. I know for certain the former two are on sale. Drew, I'm having trouble navigating Valve's Website, seems like the search engine is broken, and I can't view the specials list at all. Is that the case or am I just doing it wrong? I tried both Steam and Firefox and neither work. EDIT: NM, it's working now.
