I have to get up at 3am everyday, so I pretty much don't stay up late anymore. When i get off work I'm usually out doing something with the girlfriend. I just bought a Wii U with Mario Kart. When I have time to play games I'm on the PC or PS4. I usually stick to playing BF4 on PS4, The Last of US, WoW, or some random RPG on PC. I don't check the forum that much because I don't care about Halo, what so ever. I don't even know whats going on with the games or seen any videos and anytime i log in, I just click the boxes to to mark the Halo threads read. I might get an Xbox One down the road when its cheaper to play with you guys if a new Halo something is going to be the reunion.
The other reason I don't visit is that I'm sick of the negativity towards games and each other and trying to be right over someone. Fighting over features, or developer choices, this game over that game, or whatever dumb thing that doesn't matter. I'm over the early Halo's and CoD4 and letting them ruin every game for me. I don't care if a game has perks, sprint, armor abilities, or so on. I play the game in the box and find whats fun then turn it off. I enjoy TLoU with all it's "variety and strategy" and "complexity and unpredictability". Yeah, it's frustrating at first, but after playing a couple rounds testing things, not caring about stats, or thinking about how a competitive MP should be for the 14 year old me, I learned how to play and enjoy it for what the developers made. I played the hell out of BF4 during that shit launch it had. BF4 still has problems to this day and it doesn't get in the way of my enjoyment of the game. Most of the games today will not match my childhood enjoyment of Halo and Call of Duty and I'm not going to go into a new game comparing it to that.
PS4: BF4, Watch Dogs, TLoU, Killzone, Black Flag, MLB, Sniper Elite 3, Infamous, all the free PSN plus games.
Wii U: Wii Sports Club, Mario Kart, New Super Mario Bros.
So...yeah, I'm 25 and finally living life outside with my girlfriend and working at a frustratingly shitty engine plant and letting games be an enjoyment and release from work stress like they should be.
