This could be interesting.

Frank O'Connor, creative director of 343, gave a peek at some of the other Halo Legend shorts. Studio4 C's project, tentatively called "Origins," is a two-parter that's about 30 minutes long in total and tells the entire 100,000 year history of the Halo universe.

I was really sure that this was gonna suck when I first heard about it, but then I found out that Bones is doing one of the episodes. Now I absolutely want to see at least the Bones episode, those guys have done some really cool anime (Xam'd was very good) and I'm not a particularly big fan of anime.

That Spartan is from a non-canon story. Basically a "one-off" short where the writers and artists have fun with it. Hence the designation "1337."

It's actually garnered interest for a few of my friends who didn't really want to get interested into the storyline from the games themselves. They see this as a segway into the Halo storyline that doesn't have to take 'away' from their playing time. Just watch it during movie time instead now. I guess I can see the draw. Me personally, I'm thinking that the computer graphics animation seems a little hokey simply from the scene where the Spartan is sword dueling with another elite. That whole style of wielding a sword is definitely not how Spartans carry themselves in general. I see that as a glaring error to me personally. But we'll see when it comes out. I'm looking forward to the Forerunner story arc.

Has anyone seen the preview for this weekends episode, the "Babysitter"? It`s been up on Waypoint since yesterday and the actual episode is available for free for 24 hours tomorrow. It looks cool.
