Some of that description has me cautiously optimistic. I did like the movement in Titanfall. And they clearly realized that Halo 4 MP was pants-on-head. But anyone who says that they're excited because it seems like movement matters more than map knowledge discredits their opinion a bit (those should be a symbiotic thing, not mutually exclusive).

I think the arena shooter could make a comeback. Quake, UT, Tribes in the late 90s were all about movement. And Quake, like Halo, was all about map control. The only problem with those games is the movement skill was so closely connected with using flaws in the game engine. 

 

I think a game which used a movement system like Titanfall/parkour and map control is something we haven't seen. Seems like a natural evolution for the franchise.

Yeah that's too bad; even with the bad vid quality, the graphics look really good. It looks like Destiny or CoD with a Halo skin. I don't even mind those two features, but including them doesn't make for better gameplay, it just makes your game more like everything else.

 

Our old school gameplay with modern graphics will have to be H2A.

I'm going to watch the reveal tomorrow. Not going to expect much from it, but that will determine if I buy Halo 5 past MCC. Things are definitely not looking good. This is beyond blowing my mind how much they're fucking up right now.

They did it. They actually fucking did it. No fucking way.

They learned guys, just like they said. They didn't say what from, however, because their sample size for play testing apparently entirely consisted of fans of COD.

What's the difference between pulling a trigger and clicking a Joy stick? Is it really that much of a difference? Classic Halo zooming has been joy stick clicking, this is what people want these days. It's the modern gaming age we shouldn't be surprised.

Wether it slows down the actual movement speed or not? It does still slow down gameplay. I also don't trust a fucking word any of them say anymore, because they've lied repeatedly about how they've "learned." It also proves 343i is incapable of making something that doesn't follow trends rather than set them. The only reason, literally the only one that ADS was added? Was because other games do it. And instead of them following their own path, as Halo has done for quite some time? They chose to become a follower and do exactly what other games do because they haven't learned shit from their lackluster attempt to lure COD players in.

Are you kidding me right now? Are you even looking at the same stuff we are? They are making this look exactly like every other shooter.
