#9248244 Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Posted by aander91 on 14 November 2011 - 07:22 AM in Gaming

Mine was just generally funky in the FPS department until I realized I hadn't updated my drivers.

But yeah, MODS! I'd highly recommend this one. The default settings are overkill, but it's tweakable and looks SO much better than vanilla.

I love it but this shit needs patched big. Playing on PC and performance is spotty on all graphics settings and there's a bunch of odd glitches that I keep seeing. Typical Bethesda.

Torchlight r00ls. Can't wait for 2.

Crysis 2 looks great and the gameplay is alright (even though it basically fucks over anyone who had any intention of making stealth their main mode of gameplay) but the story/characters/script is so fucking stupid it's insulting.

Really diggin the death animation from that first Elite. Glad they managed to match up the smaller details as well.

#9247589 Halo CE Anniversary Pre-Order Exclusives Announced

I probably won't be preordering, and if I do it won't because of those bonuses. I like what I'm seeing in the screenshots though.

I think the lower price point will definitely get a point across about what the CEA package is and is not.

This is what I'm hoping for.

No, not Xbox, PC. Halo PC's multiplayer was legendary and people are kind of expecting it to be there. In another thread we all pretty much agreed that most people view Halo as a multiplayer game first. People will feel the same way about this game as they did ODST.

#9247124 Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary

Halo PC still has a strong multiplayer community even TODAY. Like there are still tons of servers on it. So saying that no one bought Halo CE for the multiplayer is a tough statement to swallow.

#9247060 Identity of Halo: Single player or multiplayer?

This absolutely.

Like he mentioned, you've already heard it. Some of my favorite pieces from H3 were H1 re-orchestrations, and it's not like they're butchered, it just sounds less MIDI-ish.

I have it. Shoot me a message on Steam if you want to play.

I don't remember having any issues concerning lag in Halo PC.

Broken hotlink. Also, didn't we just say that this didn't have the bonus disc that was used to jack up the price of ODST?

#9246899 Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary

Really?

How did the glorified DLC that was ODST make you feel?

/logic

Was that priced at $60? Cause I got it much later for like $15.

And then she comes back after a few missions of working for the AI you were working against in the beginning of the game and the bad aliens blow up the sun.

#9246801 Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary

Posted by aander91 on 07 June 2011 - 10:09 PM in Original Trilogy

Hold on though, it's being sold at $40. Forty. FUCKING. Dollars. That means that used, this is going to be about $35 day one. Jesus dick am I sold. The game isn't even being marketed as a complete title, it should be immediately obvious to anyone who buys this that something is going to be missing. $20 = Xbox Originals game $40 = This $60 = New AAA game I would've been really pissed if it were $60, but I can more than live with this.

I see a lot of posts here defending the game by making, err, for lack of a better word, excuses for the developers, and while these reasons may be perfectly sound, I don't think the average console gamer thinks this way. For console gamers, Halo's focus has always seemed to be about multiplayer. That's it. I've found this to be extremely aggravating since I always find myself surrounded by people who have never experienced the lush environments and soundscapes of the Halo series, even if we all played the same exact games. I've talked to loads of people who pass off ODST as "pointless" because of it's lack of multiplayer, and while I can somewhat understand this since nowadays most if not all of the replay value from modern games comes from the online multiplayer, but to pass a game off as entirely useless and devoid of entertainment simply because of it's lack of multiplayer is incredibly saddening. I should point out however that this...disease has yet to effect PC gamers for the most part, and I'm hoping it stays that way. That said, I have a bad feeling about this game. I just don't think it's going to be very well received. Is this going to be priced at the usual $60?
