Crysis 2 looks great and the gameplay is alright (even though it basically fucks over anyone who had any intention of making stealth their main mode of gameplay) but the story/characters/script is so fucking stupid it's insulting.
No, not Xbox, PC. Halo PC's multiplayer was legendary and people are kind of expecting it to be there.
In another thread we all pretty much agreed that most people view Halo as a multiplayer game first. People will feel the same way about this game as they did ODST.
Hold on though, it's being sold at $40.
Forty. FUCKING. Dollars.
That means that used, this is going to be about $35 day one.
Jesus dick am I sold. The game isn't even being marketed as a complete title, it should be immediately obvious to anyone who buys this that something is going to be missing.
$20 = Xbox Originals game
$40 = This
$60 = New AAA game
I would've been really pissed if it were $60, but I can more than live with this.
I see a lot of posts here defending the game by making, err, for lack of a better word, excuses for the developers, and while these reasons may be perfectly sound, I don't think the average console gamer thinks this way.
For console gamers, Halo's focus has always seemed to be about multiplayer. That's it. I've found this to be extremely aggravating since I always find myself surrounded by people who have never experienced the lush environments and soundscapes of the Halo series, even if we all played the same exact games. I've talked to loads of people who pass off ODST as "pointless" because of it's lack of multiplayer, and while I can somewhat understand this since nowadays most if not all of the replay value from modern games comes from the online multiplayer, but to pass a game off as entirely useless and devoid of entertainment simply because of it's lack of multiplayer is incredibly saddening. I should point out however that this...disease has yet to effect PC gamers for the most part, and I'm hoping it stays that way.
That said, I have a bad feeling about this game. I just don't think it's going to be very well received. Is this going to be priced at the usual $60?
