I'm gonna be asleep while the Sony conference is going on. Totally sucks, shoulda timed it so that people in Europe could watch it without having to be asleep at work (like MS).
I hate being employed sometimes.
Gonna have to try to avoid the internet for an entire day, then somehow find a stream of the Sony conference without getting spoilers.

My not favorite part was Microsoft teasing a new Conker game...only for it to be not one. Fuck them.

I'm willing to bet good money they were gauging interest.

Wow, it's almost like Microsoft remembered that they made a video game console.

Watching the MS conference archives now. I like how the introduction is basically an apology for last years misguided E3. Makes me feel like there's hope for MS after all. Let's see how the rest goes...
I laughed when Phil said this year's conference would be dedicated entirely to games.

My conference reviews:
MS 4/10: They didn't completely screw up and are really doing damage control from last year (and actually a decent job of it). I am concerned that that they're still banking on Halo (and even worse, remakes) to push their console ahead. Inside looked good.
EA 2/10: Not a single piece of innovation shown. Just sequels, yearly sports titles, and cash cows.
Ubisoft 6/10: They had AC: Unity and the Division, and both are looking good. They would've gotten a 10/10 had they just played Unity for an hour. And the Division, well, if Bungie won't provide me a MMOShooter experience on my platform of choice, then I'll give my money to Ubisoft. Other than those two, I was bored.
Sony: Part 2, 3/10: I must explain this. I've only seen the end of the Sony conference at this point, and it started with Playstation TV, quite possibily one of the worst ideas I've ever seen. Why would I pay $100-139 to play games with laggy controls when a PS3 and PS2 are cheaper, better alternatives that I already own? Not to mention the thing will probably require some kind of subscription service.
And what's up with all these exclusive TV and movies? This is a gaming conference! DID YOU NOT LEARN FROM MS'S MISTAKE?
Part 1's review will come tomorrow when the archives are up, along with what I'm sure will be Nintendo's funeral.
So now...games on my radar.

Legitimate question: Is there anything that could've been shown at all of E3 that even would've made you happy?

LOL, exactly. This honestly was the best MS E3 presser since the Halo 3 days. No Kinect, no TV/Movie shit, no dashboard and avatar crap. If we judge on exclusive games, they obviously had Halo but also Sunset Overdrive and Crackdown 3.
Sony's was alright, they had good exclusives too like Last of Us Remastered and Uncharted, but I can't think of any exclusives for this year. Then the guy with the tie came out to talk about PS Now and the conference took a nose dive, I swear I could have fallen asleep.

"I wish Nubisoft showed Assassin's Creed for their whole show."

No Man's Sky, Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight were the only games that really grabbed my interest.

I think that E3 has been pretty fucking dope so far. Next-gen is shaping up quite nicely. Lots of strong showings from everyone, even Microsoft (whom I had lost all hope for). Sunset Overdrive, despite the janky framerate, looks really cool. The Cumpilation obviously is fucking awesome, and FH2 looks nice as well. Nothing else really caught my eye during the Microsoft conference, but the first half of the Sony conference was crazy. The TV show/movie stuff was kind of lame, but the very end of the conference redeemed it - Uncharted 4 is going to be insane.
Third party stuff is looking pretty good too - Arkham Knight, Asscreed, and Rainbow Six in particular.

I want Rainbow Six: Siege in my loins.
Now, here's something I can get behind.
If I can't equip a LMG, stare at the floor, and shoot while spinning in a circle to breach the lower ceiling, however? That game is bullshit.
I need this game.
