Try turning off your firewalls and such, or see if something like that is disallowing xbc internet access.

I just did that, and I still got nothing. My computer is just one of 3 on the same network, and it doesn't have administrative powers. Does that affect anything?

I tried XBC a while back. Unfortuantly, both my Xbox and computer are wireless, so it didn't work. It's sort of annoying that both can't be wireless. We arn't living in the Stoneage anymore.

XBC = Xbox Connect. It's a program you run on your computer that allows you to play Halo: Combat Evolved over the internet. It unfortunately is extremely laggy.

I just logged on and there was only one guy on H:CE, and he was idle. There were two groups playing Halo 2 but they were private. We should organize an H:CE night and do some 2v2 games. Or an H2 night and do some CTF on Terminal.

XBC Halo 1 sounds like an awesome idea. I'll try to see if I can remember how to set it up.

I actually thought XBC had been replaced by something else that required a fee or initial purchase. Guess not.

I'm on Windows 7 and it was super easy to set up again. 1. Download and install XBC 2. Uninstall WinPCap (because XBC installs an old version) 3. Download and install LATEST version of WinPCap from WinPCap.org 4. Put Xbox at System Link "searching for games" screen 5. Run XBC and click "Find -> My Console" 6. Success

I'm down for this. HCE 2 vs 2. Maybe once the new Reach maps get old in about a week.

Does this only work with the disc version or can you download it via Games on Demand and still get in on sweet, sweet pistol action?

That only depends only on if the downloadable version has network multiplayer. I don't see why it wouldn't.
