Packs that I can personally recommend, based off of games in them:
2D Pack
- VVVVVV is easily one of the best 2D platformers ever made, it also has one of the best 8-bit soundtracks OF ALL TIME, which only helps it.
- Geometry Wars is obvious.
Heavy Hitters
- Audiosurf is probably the definitive music game for the PC. Lets you play any song that own. It's awesome, and horribly addicting.
- Shattered Horizon is great fun, and very pretty... if you've got the computer for it. REQUIRES DX10-capable videocard and a beastly processor.
- World of Goo is just good old wacky indie fun.
Flight Pack
- Depending on the price, worth it for Everyday Shooter alone. Anyone with a PS3 knows why.
Adventure Pack
- Gish is a classic, and chances are if you've ever bought any indie bundles in the past you already own it. Physics-based, control a ball of tar. It's getting a little dated, but still fun.
- And Yet It Moves is very different, and very interesting. Control gravity to control your character. Apparently it's pretty short, I have yet to beat it.
Beat Pack
- Beat Hazard is like if Audiosurf and Polynomial and Geometry Wars had some kind of sick bastard child. Play your music as a dual-stick shooter. Fun as shit.
- Chime is basically what Tetris would be were it made by the devil. Some great music and interesting gameplay, but I swear you can NEVER get the right fucking piece. God damnit.
- Bit Trip Beat is yet another punishingly difficult indie game. Zero room for error, but some amazing music and visuals. Basically Pong on LSD.
Mixed Pack
- Just buy it. I've played the first four games and they're all awesome. The pack would be worth it if only one of those four was included, especially Eufloria.
Potato Pack
- You'd have to be stupid not to buy this. I'm willing to bet this one goes up on the last day of the sale.
Edit: Looks like half of them are up now. Heavy Hitters pack actually has EIGHT games, and the three that I've played are great (Osmos, Trine, and Braid).
