The biter struck again yesterday, and this is the biggest drama to happen in the World Cup since Zidane's headbutt.

Suarez seriously needs help. He must have some sort of crazy biting fetish. This is the 3rd time.

Agreed, he'll probably be banned for a year.

I'll be wrapping myself in an American flag and sitting in our theater room at the office tomorrow for USA vs. Germany. Should be fun times.

I've been watching the early games while I'm working by streaming on my ipad. It sucks because I'm getting distracted by work. I'll have to take an extended lunch tomorrow to see the game.

Seeing as England were ejected from the tournament after their worst performance since 1950 I'll be switching my support to the USA. :D

I've been forced to listen to them over the radio, so you lot can fuck off with your iPads and theater rooms and whatnot.

Very young team with a lot of talent but in the toughest group. Next time they'll be really tough as most of these young guys will be at their peak.

Luis Suarez just got pwned.

FIFA have banned Luis Suárez for nine official national team matches. Uruguay play Colombia in the Round of 16 on Saturday, but Suárez's World Cup is over.

They've also slapped him with a four-month ban from all soccer-related activity, which includes activity with his current club, Liverpool, and fine of 100,000 Swiss francs

Four months? For a third offense it doesn't really strike me as all that harsh.

Exactly what I said.

This. I can't imagine what it'd be like if the US won the World Cup, it'd be both hilarious and kind of interesting to see if it'd finally get "soccer" to become properly mainstream over there. I mean, the World Cup is kind of our Superbowl (when we do even slightly well), it's weird that such similar countries have such different tastes when it comes to sports... though I'm certain that I will never fully appreciate baseball, that looks like cricket without the tea and scones.

Don't worry about not appreciating baseball, it's a shit sport these days and is ever so slowly on its way out the door as a major American sport.

About this biter bro, just...why? How frustrated do you have to be with somebody to BITE them?

RIP baseball... I used to love it, too. Just lost its magic over the years.

After soccer, baseball is my favorite sport. I think there's still some of us die-hards out there. Don't get me wrong, I get frustrated with some of the changes. I can't stand that pitchers don't bat and that so many players aren't in shape.

The Brazil v Chile match yesterday was one of the best matches I've ever watched.

I support neither of them, but it was nail-biting and intense anyway.

Totally, I've always rooted for Brazil as my South American team and I was sweating bullets. Julio Cesar isn't that good of a goalie but he came up huge in the penalty kicks.

I've never seen such a meltdown in any sport in my whole life. I watched the whole thing, and the 4 goals in 6 mins was unfathomable. I'm trying to find something to compare it to for my friends here who don't watch soccer but I can't come up with anything.

Brazil let the pressure get to them, they got caught up in all the hype about being at home, the expectations, and the emotion and were almost in a trance-like state.

I couldn't be happier to see Brazil shamed so harshly in their own home.

The riots should be exciting, at the very least.
